candy-canes-and-dogs-003We worked our and worked our fingers to the bone, but felt like we were making no progress! We kept looking at the BIG pile of candy canes and said to each other “We are never going to get through”! But hour after hour the candy cane pile went down a little more. And finally after the 4th hour their were no more!!!

You are probably wondering what in the world am I talking about, well I shall tell you.

Thursday I went to our church office and they had a need that I could help with so I did. I spent two hrs tying candy canes to post cards, to give out at church Sunday so people can invite friends, family etc to our Christmas Eve Service. Then when I had to leave I just told them I would take the other 1,500 home with me and my husband and I would work on them Thursday night and me Friday morning.

When Ricky came home Boy was he surprised, when I told him what we would be doing for the rest of the night. But he was a trooper and helped me! (he’s such a good man)

Then Friday night Emiley was also surprised when I told her she had about 300 that she needed to work on. 58 of those we are passing out to our neighbors tomorrow after church.

So Candy Canes, Candy Canes NO MORE!!!!!!
